About the Program

The Brain and Behavioral Sciences Major (BBS) is especially appropriate for students interested in the more science or math-oriented areas of psychology. This program is also popular with students who want careers in medicine.

Selective Requirements (3-25 credits)


Cultural/International Diversity Selective (0-16 credits)*

The Cultural/International Diversity requirement may be met by completing ONE of the following:

  • Option 1: Proficiency through level IV in any one foreign language.

Students wishing to use an approved study abroad experience to meet all or part of the Cultural/International Diversity Selective are required to complete the Experiential Learning Contract process.
