Requirements for the Global Studies Minor

International/Globalization Emphasis (3-6 Credits)
Credit hours plus weeks abroad must equal 8 (i.e. 3 credit hours + 5 weeks abroad or 4 credit hours + 4 weeks abroad or 5 credit hours + 3 weeks abroad or 6 credit hours + 2 weeks abroad)
Study Abroad* (2-5 Credit Hours)
To meet the International/Globalization Emphasis section C, a student must study abroad (outside the United States) for a minimum of two weeks. The weeks abroad do not need to be taken consecutively.
Select from the following (3-6 Credit Hours)
Global Studies Seminar (1 Credit)
Total credit hours required for the minor (10-13 Credits)
*Study Abroad is defined by any of a number of arrangements by which Purdue students complete part of their college program through educational activities outside the United States. Such activities include - but are not limited to - classroom study, research, intern or externships, and service learning.

Note: The Global Studies Minor is not a licensure program.
