PHYS 55000 - Introduction To Quantum Mechanics

Credit Hours: 3.00.  Brief historical survey of the development of quantum mechanics; wave-packets, uncertainty principle, wave functions, operators, Schrodinger equation with application to one-dimensional problems, the hydrogen atom, electron spin, selected topics in perturbation theory, scattering theory, and compounding of angular momenta. Not available for students with credit in PHYS 36000  or PHYS 46000 . Typically offered Fall.Credits: 3.00
